Website Operator Opt-Out

If you operate a website and do not want Kommento to crawl or index it, use one of the options below. We keep the process direct so site owners can reach us without creating an account.

Option A: robots.txt (recommended)

Add the following to your site's /robots.txt:

User-agent: KommentoBot
Disallow: /

This tells our crawler not to access pages on your site.

Option B: HTML meta directives

Add this to the <head> of pages you do not want indexed:

<meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow">

This signals indexing/link-following preferences using standard web controls.

Option C: Email us

Email abuse@kommento.app with the details below. For general questions, use info@kommento.app or call 1-866-KMT-SCAN.

Your domain (example: example.com)
What you want (do-not-crawl, do-not-index, or both)
Any relevant notes (e.g., subdomains or paths)

We aim to process legitimate opt-out requests in a reasonable timeframe. Kommento is based in Highland, Indiana.
